For public health & safety, companies are required to obtain certification from authorized bodies before they can put products on the market or customs declaration, in accordance with Quality Management & Safety Control of Industrial Products Act.

Industrial products are categorized into Safety certification, Self regulatory safety confirmation, Safety/Qulaity labeling according to the level of safety and hazard. And according to the category, industrial products should be certified by authorized test bodies in accordance with regulation and safety requirements.

It is a nationally unified/integrated certification mark in order to relieve enterprises of an economic burden, inconveniences, and confusions by many duplicate certification and to enable consumers to choose good products’ quality under the single mark. (enforcement : July 1, 2009)
